Spring Break Work Packets

3/23/30

Good afternoon parents and students! Today begins our 2nd full week of Spring Break! The Governor of NC decided to close schools for in-person instruction earlier today. We are very sad but we understand the need for this to happen to keep everyone well and safe. The Admin. team is working on our Distance Learning plan this week. The packets that teachers gave out last week were prepared with two weeks worth of review activities. We gave your students the options of completing “Must do’s” and “May do’s”. Try to complete the “Must do” activities by the end of the week. We will send out our Distance Learning plan after Spring Break concludes by early next week. We miss you all! Take care and Stay Safe.

Laptops for 3rd and 4th Graders

ATTENTION 3RD AND 4TH GRADE FAMILIES:
Good Morning 3rd and 4th Grade Parents,

Here at Movement we are preparing for the possibility of moving toward digital learning. We want to make sure all our scholars have access to laptops and the internet in the event that school closures continue. We will be conducting a laptop distribution for all students in 3rd and 4th grade on Wednesday, March 18th from 11:00 – 1:00. Your child may use the laptop over spring break for additional learning but that is not the expectation for these initial two weeks out of school. If school closures continue past March 30th you will receive instructions via Dojo on how your child can access classroom instructional materials.

Laptops will be distributed through the car line. We ask that all parents pull up in front of the school give us the students name, parents will be asked to sign an acceptable use policy, laptops and chargers will be distributed. It is expected that both laptops and chargers are returned in good condition when students return to school.

If you are planning to pick-up a laptop please fill out the survey below so that we may have one prepared and sanitized for you.

School Closure

Movement School will be closed beginning Monday, March 16th in accordance with the order of NC Governor Roy Cooper. We will be on Spring Break from March 16th to March 27th.

Movement School will definitely be closed through March 27th, but potentially longer. Determination of the timing of our return to school will be based on new information and recommendations learned through our continued monitoring of our local, state, and national health agencies as well as our governing education organizations. We will provide updates on our re-opening date every 2-3 days
